Starting on April 2nd at the Acton Memorial Library, the Portfolio Art Class students from Acton Boxborough High School will be presenting a gallery show titled Eclections. The exhibit displays a work from each student that he or she is most proud of creating from high school art classes. The students put together a book comprised of their artist statements, which explain their artistic view and concept for their piece.
The exhibit includes both realistic and abstract pieces. There are collages, acrylic and oil paintings, graphite and colored pencil drawings, pastel pieces, and prints. Several students used interesting techniques to create unique effects, such as applying gold leaf to illuminate parts of their work.
The exhibit will remain in the library Meeting Room, until April 29th. The public is invited to visit and comment on the artwork.
